The Marion County Sheriff's Department is divided into four divisions. They include the Administrative Division, Communications, Civil, and Jail Divisions. Each division is further divided into sections. Built on the cornerstones of accountability, efficiency, professionalism, and excellence, the Sheriff's Department consists of nearly 1,000 employees. These outstanding civilians and deputies serve public safety in the jail division, communications division, civil office, and law enforcement division. Since 1822, the Marion County Sheriff's Department has dedicated its personnel to better serve and protect the citizens of Marion County.
